DB2 on z/OS Database Administrator
CivicActions is a dedicated, fun-loving team, looking for some talented folks to help us bring revolutionary digital services to government agencies and the people they serve.
For this role, we need someone with experience in technical leadership and operational expertise in implementation, architecture, design, ongoing support and maintenance of DB2 databases and related software tools on z/OS systems. This role also will work to support an agile scrum team in application development as it relates to z/OS databases.
The current opening for this position requires on-site interactions with clients and users in Sacramento, California; therefore we are seeking candidates who reside in Sacramento or are willing to commute on a daily or weekly basis.

We are looking for someone with the following experience:
Design, develop, and maintain data models utilizing data modeling and code generation tools (e.g. Erwin Data Modeler)
Perform system administration including database security, configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning to address performance issues and improve response times
Minimum of 5 years experience as a database administrator responsible for DB2 database administration, DB2 database configuration, DB2 data replication, DB2 utilities, DB2 resource monitoring, DB2 z/OS static and dynamic SQL, DB2 z/OS database backup, recovery, performance tuning, configuration and design
Minimum of 1 year experience as a DB2 database administration experience both with DB2 version 10.1 (or greater) and DB2 on z/OS specifically
