CivicActions is seeking a creative and enthusiastic technical writer with cybersecurity and compliance subject-matter experience to join our growing DevSecOps team. In addition to writing, this role will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, automation engineers and project teams to coordinate, write and validate documentation and other deliverables.
This position is remote (work from home) and requires US Citizenship and a background investigation for federal security clearance.
For this position, we need people that are able to:
Develop and deliver compliance documentation (e.g., System Security and Configuration Management plans) as needed by our client agencies.
Work with client stakeholders to ensure we understand what documentation they need, when it is needed and in what format.
Work with automation engineers to define processes to automate the generation of compliance documentation (to make your job easier!).
Work with project teams to understand and document the project processes, infrastructure and each application as it relates to cybersecurity and compliance, as well as ensure that continuous maintenance of documentation is incorporated into project workflows.
Develop internal (company-wide) documentation and training content to improve our compliance and security posture.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Cybersecurity or compliance (FedRAMP, FISMA, RMF, 800-53, HIPPA) subject-matter experience (experience in both is a plus)
Previous federal security clearance is a plus
Coding/scripting experience a plus (e.g., Python, Go, …)
Security certification is a plus (e.g., Security+, CCSP, CISSP, ...)
$85,000 - $115,000 Annually
